AGENCY: Founded in 1978, Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando is a nonprofit human services organization that provides services to individuals & families in crisis to enhance the quality of life across generations in Central Florida, regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, age, or ability.

POSITION: JFS Orlando is hiring an experienced Development Associate. This is a non-exempt, full-time position totaling 34 hours per week, with benefits package (vacation, medical, dental, vision, retirement). Under the supervision of the Director of Development & Marketing, the successful candidate will provide administrative support for the Development Department and assist with the marketing efforts of the department.

SCHEDULE: The schedule for this position will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday, with a 30-minute (unpaid) lunch break daily, and occasional evening or weekend days for events.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter & maintain donor data in CRM software and mass email program.
  • Process written donor acknowledgements and other community-related correspondence.
  • Generate donor reports.
  • Prospect research.
  • Create & maintain contact lists.
  • Maintain & update social media accounts and website.
  • Assist in planning & implementation of JFS events.
  • Attending & representing JFS at offsite community events.
  • Coordinate JFS community programs.
  • Facilitate digital & printed marketing material for operations, programs & fundraising.
  • Draft press releases.
  • Monitor & maintain JFS branding to ensure consistency.
  • Complete other office duties as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in relevant field with minimum of two years’ experience, nonprofit preferred.
  • Knowledge & experience with CRM software, Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of Meta Business Suite and WordPress.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, able to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work accurately and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Familiarity & experience with Jewish customs and culture preferred.
  • Due to the nature of our business, immunizations must be up to date.
