Family Stabilization Program Case Manager

Sasha Herrera joined JFS Orlando in October 2022. Originally from Jersey City, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the New Jersey City University and is currently attending Grand Canyon University online to earn her Masters in Addiction Counseling.

Her early career began in education, working as a teacher, therapeutic staff support, and as a mental health worker. She continued working in the behavioral & mental health field as a Wraparound Specialist with Gulf Coast Jewish Family Community Services and then as a case manager with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

As a Case Manager for JFS Orlando’s Family Stabilization Program (FSP), Sasha provides intensive case management services for Orange County FSP clients, including recruiting & screening, recording documentation, and monitoring client participation & progress. She enjoys her work with JFS as it is aligned with her passion to work with children and families, providing a community connection which will ultimately lead to long-term mental and emotional stability.

Sasha is bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish. Her family is originally from the Dominican Republic, and she is a proud auntie of four.
