Dolores Indek misses volunteering at JFS Orlando. “It’s one of my favorite volunteer jobs!” A 7+ year volunteer, before the pandemic, Dolores used to volunteer in the Pearlman Emergency Food Pantry a couple times a month and help with babysitting for the Family Stabilization Program once a month. “I miss seeing all those people in need come and leave with a smile because JFS is there to help the needy. I miss seeing everyone that works at JFS too. Everyone is so nice!”

In addition to a volunteer, Dolores is also a longtime supporter of JFS. One of the many reasons she likes to volunteer at JFS is because “you see where all your donations and your money goes. The people come to the door, you hand them the bag. When people come in a wheelchair, or they take a bus, or they had to call a cab or ride a bike just to get here to get the food, it’s those kinds of things that really stand out.”

Since the pandemic, Dolores has been spending her time at the Westmonte Center pool trying out all the water fitness classes. “I’ve met so many nice people!”
