“The physical heart beats to keep one alive. The spiritual heart beats to generate compassion so that other hearts might also beat.”
It’s so quiet we forget it’s happening; it’s so hidden we forget it’s there; it’s so essential to our well-being we might even take it for granted. Like our physical heart, our spiritual heart beats just the same. We might not notice it, but it is busy pumping compassion and love into us.
Jewish Family Services is based on the compassion of the community’s spiritual heart. Without it, we couldn’t provide the services that we do “so that other hearts might also beat.”
