“Justice, justice shall you pursue.”
(Deuteronomy 16:20)
The Hebrew word for justice is Tzedek, and someone who pursues justice is called a Tzadik or righteous one in English. But did you know that the Hebrew word for charity is Tzedakah? Sounds very much like Tzedek, doesn’t it?! Well, that’s because it shares the same root of the word for justice, Tzedek.
Justice can be achieved in our own lives by being moral, generous, fair, and compassionate to one another. At JFS Orlando, we stand for justice every day by helping those in need.
