Elsa Peña, BA

Controller

Elsa Peña joined JFS Orlando in 2007 and currently holds the position of Controller. Her role includes developing and managing financial controls in accordance with the agency’s procedures. She provides leadership and support for day-to-day operations, manages the preparation of payroll for personnel and ongoing maintenance of HR practices. Elsa is also responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable, counseling clients’ insurance and billing, and other accounting duties.

Elsa Peña earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the Colegio Femenino in Montevideo, Uruguay. She brought more than 20 years of experience in financial management and customer service from Uruguay and has since worked as a staff accountant for more than 15 years in the United States. Prior to her time at JFS, Elsa worked for Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando and United Jewish Communities of Metro West New Jersey.
