Colomba Martinez Cooper
Program Coordinator

Born in Chile, Colomba spent her formative years in Guatemala and Mexico before moving to the U.S. about ten years ago. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and International Relations from Rollins College, along with a minor in German Language and Culture. After graduation she relocated to Berlin, Germany to complete her Master’s degree in international relations with a focus on Human Rights at the Hertie School.
Colomba brings an international flair to JFS, having worked everywhere from Hunger Street Tacos and Floyd’s Barbershop to the Consulate of Chile in Berlin, Germany. This diverse background has helped her understand the importance of meeting people where they are and deepened her commitment to helping others through community-based work.
As the Program Coordinator JFS, Colomba approaches her work with passion and compassion. She always is making time to listen and connect with those around her.
Colomba loves the outdoors where you can find her playing golf, pickleball, or at the beach. When not outdoors, as an avid reader you will find her with a book in hand, cooking or watching reality TV.
